Spare Time Tennis Academy has been selected this year to put together a team of three girls and boy to represent Northern California in this great event. The representatives selected for this years team are: Macy Osborne, Blair Reed, Kelsey Knight, Nelson Hosley, Patrick Maloney and Ted Burchett.

Many of the nation's most promising junior tennis players compete in the WTT Junior Nationals presented by Advanta. This tournament is a premier national junior invitational event featuring 16 co-ed teams from throughout the United States. The teams use the WTT format during their three days of non-elimination draw competition. In addition to the competition, players also participate in seminars and a clinic hosted by event host and WTT co-founder Billie Jean King.

This is a great opportunity but an expensive endeavor for these young men and women. So in order to help in these expenses Lanie Steers (Captain of Gold River's Women's 5.0 spring team) and Carmel Hill (member of that team and Pro at Johnson Ranch Racquet Club) have organized a Round Robin on July 26th, 2008 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at Gold River Racquet Club. The cost is $50.00 per player and it includes lunch plus prizes. One hundred percent of the proceeds will be going to the kids for the trip.

Expenses for this event are being underwritten by Lanie. Participants will be paired up to play doubles with a local pro, 5.0 player or one of the Juniors that will be attending the WTT Junior Nationals. This should be an awesome experience for you and the kids to play with some of the best players in Northern California. Below is a list of Pros that have committed so far to be here for the event.
